Encode

Bridging the gap in ancient writing cultures

The Encode project was a joint project involving six international partners led by Bologna, funded from 1 September 2020 to 31 October 2023 as part of Erasmus+ Key Actions (Erasmus+ 2020-1-IT02-KA203-079585). The aim was to expand collaborative, participatory and intercultural digital access to ancient written heritage through new professional profiles and targeted training of qualified graduates. The focus was on developing materials for teaching and self-study. In Würzburg, Encode was part of Holger Essler's editio maior initiative.
